Consumerism trailer evaluation/group -EMMA

evaluation
For this assignment as a group we had to film a trailer that
involved vox pox footage each group was given subject like for instance 3D printing,
social media ect. My group’s given subject was consumerism. I feel that the trailer
I made fit the target audience perfectly because I feel that the trailer really
highlighted how consumerism is getting out of control.
I was aiming my trailer for ordinary shoppers and I feel
that my trailer fit the purpose and target audience for instance because it was
filmed in an ordinary shopping center and showed a lot of common shops that
everyone passes on weekly bases.
I feel that the footage i gathered really represented consumerism
as a day to day thing I feel that by showing real shops and real people walking
passed them really emphasis the fact that consumerism is an everyday struggle
and that it effects everyone I also feel that the way the camera was framed
made the footage look to a professional standard and I think this really
benefited my trailer
But however I feel that the quality of some of the footage
we gathered didn't look as clear as the rest of the footage we got because the focus wasn't
thst good because most of the people that walking passed the
camera didn't like the fact that we were filming them so to put them at ease and
avoid any legal problems we made the camera out of focus.
I also feel that the audio track I used in the trailer really
completed it because I feel that it made
the watcher really have an idea of what the trailer was trying to represent and
I feel that if the audio wasn't involved then it would have be harder to
understand the message that the trailer was
trying to convey
The only thing I feel that didn't look professional in the
final edit was the fact that three of the Vox pops were filmed in front of a
green screen because I feel that the green screen didn’t look as realistic like
the first vox pop which was filmed outside I also feel that if I would have had
more time I could have done vox popped older people so that the trailer could have
shown different age groups.
If I could have improved on anything I would have improved
on the group effort on the work because I feel that we should have communicated
more with each other so that filming wasn’t left for last minute I also feel
that we should have organised more days for us to meet up so that we could have
planned more days to do filming, also so that we could have had a bit more time
to prepare for the presentation that we had to do.
Some of my peer group watched my trailer. They said that
they really liked the fact that the trailer involved rhetorical questions
because it really made the watcher question themselves and really made them
think closely on what was being asked they also said that they like the “length
of the trailer because it wasn't long and by having it short it helped keep the
watchers engaged” they also said that they “liked the fact normal shops where
shown and that you could see a range of different people walk passed theses
shops” they said it made it look as it the camera was just a person walking
around looking at all the signs.
